-size hail near gilroy. we had dime-size hail near hollister. obviously the south bay cities surrounded by the mountains saw all the activity. today that's the same deal as we head throughout the afternoon when it comes to those isolated thunderstorms. the best chance is over the higher elevations, especially down south, as our center of low pressure has moved into the central valley. we're still getting showers, very light activity up and down u.s. 1 and 101 as well, so watch out for that. the coast and the mountains will see that activity as we head throughout the morning. and mike even said chp is reporting a little bit of act on the altamont pass. what do you have out there, mike? >> we do have some of that. let's take you first across the bay where we're looking at the san mateo bridge. we are looking at a smooth low but more light so the volume is starting to pick up. let's show you over on the peninsula side and look at a nice, smooth flow of traffic on 92 getting a little smoother through that area we had earlier construction. on the other side of the bay we have a little slowin

:00 this morning in the 5600 block of denwood avenue in baltimore city. the call came in at 2:00. when firefighters got on the scene based a one adult male jumped from the second story window and tried to get away from some of the flames. after the fire was knocked down when officials went inside, they discovered the five bodies of the victim's. according to baltimore city fire officials, a total of 10 people were inside. five escaped and five were killed. once again, a grandmother and four children killed in this early-morning house fire in baltimore city. we are looking to get more information, including, hopefully, details about what may have sparked the blaze. officials have not released the identities or ages of any of the victims. back to you. >> thank you. it was not exactly the playoff nationals fans were hoping for. it was a shutout loss in game 3. >> st. louis had a three-run homer off edwin jackson. the nationals had their chances. 8-0 loss. >> it was washington's first postseason baseball game since 1933. >> in desperation time. brianne carter has more on how the fans are feeling. >> ab

this morning in baltimore. five people killed including four children. and children. baltimore city fire officials say it happened after 2:00 this morning. they got to go home and it was fully engulfed. one person tried to jump from the second-floor and there were taken to the hospital for treatment as well as a firefighter was inside fighting the blaze and fell through the second story into the basement of the moment. investigators are trying to figure out what exactly sparked this fire that killed five people early this morning. all of this is still under investigation. we are hoping to get new images and video as well as more reformation. as soon as we get that, we will share it with you. back to you. >> thank you. also, now that it is a must win games for the washington nationals, the cardinals back to the team into a corner after shutting about yesterday. >> it was not pretty. the nationals have to win today or their postseason run is over. brianne carter joins us with a look at what went wrong in games 3. >> this team was fired up, as were the fans yesterday. season baseball right

was discovered near the patridge park open space in the city of arvada. at this time, we're unable to make any connection to the disappearance of jessica ridgeway. >> reporter: 10-year-old jessica ridgeway vanished nearly a week ago today. the fifth grader last seen walking to school friday morning. police have scoured her neighborhood, nearby fields, and waterways. investigators working jessica's abduction help process the crime scene where the body was found some 7 miles from jessica's home and 11 miles from where her backpack was found sunday. detectives have said they don't believe jessica's parents are involved in her disappearance. her mother and father spoke out just days ago. >> we'll never stop looking. >> i want her to come back through that door. i need her to walk back through that door. >> reporter: overnight, there has been no comment from jessica's family. we expect to hear from police in about an hour and a half. it's quite possible we'll have a much better indication if that body does belong to the missing 10-year-old, an entire community here holding their collective breath a
